What Vaccinations are required?
Every cat wishing to stay at Cuddles must be vaccinated against Feline Enteritis and Influenza (cat flu) both of which are highly contagious diseases. If your cat has not been vaccinated before he or she must have an initial vaccine followed by a booster approximately three to four weeks later. Following this, a booster is required annually.
Do I have to produce proof of vaccination?
Yes. Your veterinary surgeon should automatically give you a vaccination record card but if you do not have this to hand he or she will provide a duplicate.
How much notice do I need to give for booking?
We appreciate as much notice as possible particularly during the summer months and over the Christmas period.
What can I bring?
Your cat will be happiest if you bring his/her own bed. You can also bring his/her scratching post and some favourite toys. Your cat’s vaccination record card must accompany him or her each time he/she boards. See our Useful Information page for more ideas.
My cat has a medical condition. Will you accept her for boarding?

How often are cats fed at Cuddles?
Generally cats are fed each morning and evening but we can feed more often if required, particularly when we have young or elderly cats staying.
Do you board dogs?
No, never. Many cats do not like dogs and for this reason Cuddles is a dog free zone!
My cat is disabled. Is Cuddles suitable and will you accept her?
We have had many amputees and disabled cats here in the past (including our own Dougal who is missing two limbs!) and we can usually adapt pens to suit.
If my cat requires medication, can you administer it?
Yes. (There may be an additional charge for this service.) Please let us know of any medical conditions at time of booking or if illness occurs following booking but prior to boarding please contact us to ensure that boarding is still possible.
Is it necessary to bring cat food?
No, but if your cat is on a special or unusual diet, please advise us and you may be asked to supply sufficient food for your cat’s stay.
Can I inspect the cattery?
Yes. You are welcome (and indeed encouraged) to inspect the cattery, without making a booking, but please arrange an appointment prior to visiting.
It has been our experience that we miss our cats more than they miss us! At Cuddles, we are happy to reply with updates by email or texts while cats board here. However, please understand that we may not always be able to reply immediately, as looking after our feline guests is always our priority.
Can I get a Gift Voucher?

What do you do if my cat becomes ill?
If your cat becomes ill while boarding at Cuddles we treat him or her just like we treat our own cats. We will contact you if we are concerned about your cat and will seek veterinary care if necessary. If your cat has a history of any medical condition we will initially contact your own vet and be guided by him or her.
Will you collect and/or deliver my cat?
It is much better from your cat’s point of view (and your own peace of mind) if you bring him or her to Cuddles Cattery yourself. In our experience cats settle much quicker when brought here by their owners (and owners are usually happier to see their cats relax before leaving them). However, we can arrange to collect or deliver your cat if absolutely necessary.
